Wed, December 9th- Join AARP for their One Day University Virtual Lecture Series and live Q&A on with Boston University’s Jeremy Yudkin. THE BEATLES, THE SIXTIES & POPULAR CULTURE

THE BEATLES, THE SIXTIES & POPULAR CULTURE

Between 1962 and 1970 The Beatles released 22 singles, several EPs and 11 albums. The   total number of songs in the Beatles canon is 211. The Beatles produced lots of different kinds of music – folk, rock, country, doo wop, rockabilly, soul blues, – and they invented new genres like psychedelic music and heavy metal. American and English culture of the 1960s is reflected more in the music of the Beatles than in that of any other group. Professor Yudkin will participate in a LIVE Q&A         immediately following the pre-recorded lecture. This event is FREE but you must REGISTER to participate.
