Register for Trip to Ivoryton Playhouse Trip for “On Golden Pond”

Wednesday, May 31st

First, enjoy a delicious lunch at Lenny & Joe’s Fish Tail (lunch on your own).  Following lunch, a short ride will bring you to the beautiful Ivoryton Playhouse for the delightful play On Golden Pond.

Built in 1911 this historic summer theater has hosted some of the great names of the American stage including Katharine Hepburn, Marlon Brando, Betty Grable, and Tallulah Bankhead.

On Golden Pond is the love story of Ethel and Norman Thayer, who are returning to their summer home on Golden Pond.  They are visited by their divorced, middle-aged daughter Chelsea and her dentist fiancé who are leaving for a trip to Europe.  Ethel and Norman agree to care for Billy, the teenage son of Chelsea’s fiancé, and a most unexpected relationship blooms.  A heartwarming and hilarious show about generations of a family learning to communicate and to care.
