Artist Nook March Featured Artist

Artist Nook March featured artist: Clara Ann Reeve

Clara Ann cannot remember a time when she didn’t enjoy creating art, it’s a long time companion to her. In high school, an art teacher encouraged her  interest in drawing and that led to her interest in painting. Over the years, she studied with various artists and visited many art museums to study the paintings and sculptures. Her favorite painter has always been Vincent Van Gogh.

She deeply enjoys painting in acrylics and water color, as well as drawing in pencil and with fine line pens. She has had her artwork displayed and awarded at Mystic Arts Association, Hygienic, Art, Guilford Handcraft Center, TinTown Studio and Granite Street Gallery.

Lately, she is into mixed media projects that combine fine line drawings and watercolor paints. Clara Ann also developed an interest in Zentangle, a method of drawing that features repetitive geometric designs drawn with special pens.

Now that she’s retired she has more time to enjoy family, friends and her art. She especially enjoys getting feedback from people who have seen her work.

Please stop in the ARTIST NOOK and enjoy her artwork.
