“Thoughtful Tuesday” Monthly Mindfulness Coaching

Would you like to experience more peace and calm, even when everything around you seems chaotic and busy? Would you like to feel rested and enjoy better sleep? Would you like to experience more joy?

Join Wellness Coach and Pharmacist Lisa Bragaw from Zen & Now Wellness Center once a month. At each session, Lisa will introduce breathing techniques and some very easy to implement mindfulness tools and strategies you can use anytime to bring more ease into your life.

This group will meet the 2nd Tuesday of each month.

Please register with the Senior Center. $10pp each month.

Grandparent Support Group

Are you a grandparent or relative helping to raise your grandchild(ren)? Are you looking for others to connect with who are are also helping raise their grandchild(ren)? Join us for a free information session! Deb Walker from SERAC will join us to discuss the program Powered Up.

Grief Support Group

Tuesday, April 4th at 10:30am

 

The loss of a spouse or partner is often one of the hardest losses we will encounter. Our lives turn upside down. You ask yourself, “How will I survive and feel all alone?” You are not alone. This group will offer a safe and private space for you to learn from others and understand that there are others sharing this similar experience. The group is peer to peer support with a trained peer facilitator from the Brian Dagle Foundation.

 

This group meets the first Tuesday of each month at the Senior Center.

AARP Mature Driver Safety Class

Wednesday, April 5th from 12:30-4:30pm

 

The AARP Smart Driver course is the nation’s first refresher course specifically
designed for drivers age 50 and older. In many states, drivers may benefit from a discount on their auto insurance premium upon completing the course. Contact your insurance company to find out. And you will learn something new along the way. In fact, an evaluation of the course found that 97% of participants changed at least one driving habit as a result of what they learned.

 

$20 for AARP member $25 for non-AARP member

Register with the Senior Center office. Payment due upon registration.

Make Up week for cancelled classes will be the week of Jun 26th.

Registration for fitness classes, music classes, games, and craft programs for the spring session is now open for everyone.

Registrations are not guaranteed until we receive payment.

Help us celebrate Spring with a lovely concert by our very own Guitar Jam group. Dessert will be served as we enjoy the sounds of the season and pleasant conversation with friends.

Stamp Out Stroke Presentation

Monday, April 10th at 1:00pm

 

Stamp Out Stroke is a community outreach group affiliated with the Yale Stroke Department. They are comprised of physicians, nurses, and students and their goal is to educate the community about stroke. They focus on stroke risk factors, recognizing warning signs, and the importance of receiving prompt care. They will provide an interactive presentation followed by a Q&A session.

Acting and Scene Workshop Presentation
