Senior Farmers Market Vouchers

Wed, Jul 20th, 10am at East Lyme Senior Center.

Please call to register that you are coming. If you cannot
come in person, you can send a proxy. But registration is
still required. Call for details

The Senior Farmer Market Voucher program age and income requirements:
60 years of age or older, and income limits of: income limits for a single person is $1986 per month/$23828 per year
and for a couple is $2686 per month/$32227 per year.

Tips for using Senior Farmer Market Vouchers:
-Use the vouchers! Don’t wait until September.
-Keep the vouchers in a safe place. They cannot be replaced.
-Use them in $3 increments or all at once ($18) but the farmer cannot give you
change.
-Review the list of locations. Not every farmer market or farm stand is able to
take them.
-Vouchers can be used to purchase fruits, vegetables, cut herbs or honey. They
can NOT be used to buy sandwiches, meat, dairy, crafts or some of the other
lovely items sold at farmers’ markets.
-You can send someone else to shop for you if you completed a Proxy Form

We lose a little of our balance every day, and it’s so important to work on maintaining balance to prevent falls.

This two hour workshop is the perfect place for women of all ages and experience to learn how to create a look that suits their personal features and skin tone. Explore products & tools that are must-haves for your personal make up collection. Participate in hands-on make up application. Both daytime & evening looks will be explored. Presentation: A Caregiver’s Emotional Journey

On Wednesday July 20, 2022, at 1:00pm Mattthew Borrelli will read poems from his poetry book that will take the audience though the shared experiences of caring for a loved one with dementia. His storytelling will engage the audience and act as a therapeutic tool for all to express their similar feelings. His evolution to understanding of dementia will be evident as he reads from his poetry book entitled “JOURNEY OF A POET AND HIS MUSE”

Summer Sounds Concert Series

Come and enjoy a summer evening at the Lymes’ Senior Center, 26 Town Woods Road
for “Summer Sounds” – a FIVE-week musical series held at 7pm on Thursday nights
*Bring your chairs, blankets, dinner, dancing shoes, etc. the performances will be held out on the lawn. Cancelations will be put on our Facebook page if the weather is inclement.

We will be serving ice cream outside to all concert goers before the concert at 6:30pm
on July 7th, 14th, & 28th.

Lions Club Cookout at 6pm on July 21st & August 4th (proceeds go towards the Lions Club scholarship fund)
