Monday, June 26th at 11 AM- Music of the Sea Chanty
Sharing for our friends at Groton Public Library-
Join us Saturday, June 26 from 11:00 AM – noon for Music of the Sea Chanty presented by the Mystic Seaport.
The chantey staff will share stories through music. Participants are invited to become crew members as they join in a chorus, picture the events in a ballad or use a chantey as a tool to help accomplish hard work like raising sail. Participants will learn about the history of sea chanteys and their use, and participate in interactive songs with a live musician.
Music of the Sea Chantey presented by Mystic Seaport will be a live, in-person outdoor event in the library’s garden area.
This program is generously funded by the Groton Public Library’s Circle of Friends Group.
