VOUNTEERS IN FOCUS- GARDEN BED VOLUNTEERS

THANK YOU to our awesome volunteers who have been tending to and watering our community garden beds. Groton Senior Center with an active group of volunteers received materials for seven raised beds thanks to the Eastern CT Community Garden Association and their generous grant from Groton Parks Foundation. Several of these beds were created at a height allowing for easier care by our volunteers tending to healthy fruits and vegetables. The produce will go to our Coastal Café in a farm to table manner this summer and fall.

We are still recruiting garden volunteers for Wednesday, Friday and Saturday to water the gardens. Please call Tomi for further information, 860-441-6782.

Thank you to our own Town of Groton Parks crew, Johnson’s Hardware, Home Depot and of course Eastern CT Community Garden Association!
