WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 4TH- NEW SENIOR CENTER GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY

After many years of planning, the groundbreaking for the New Senior Center will be on Wednesday, December 4th at 12:00 noon.

The ceremony will take place at 230 Taylor Hill Rd on the site of our future home.

Following the ceremony, we will gather at the current senior center for a light lunch and celebration. Thank you to everyone that has supported us through the years. We hope you join us on this special day!

 

Saturday, December 7th- 9TH ANNUAL EMERGENCY FUEL FUND BREAKFAST AND BASKET RAFFLE

Come out to have breakfast with us!

Time:  7:00 to 11:00 AM.

Before you head out shopping, join us for a delicious breakfast.  All proceeds  from this event are for  the Emergency Fuel Fund. This fuel fund is to assist residents of Jewett City & Griswold that are at risk of freezing this winter.  Countless families have been assisted through this fund over the past years.    BASKET RAFFLES AND GRANDMA’S ATTIC.

Movies are shown the last Wednesday of the month at 1:00 p.m. Sponsored by Club 55. Costs: Club 55 members $1.00 and Non-members $3.00   Fee includes popcorn and punch.  Movies are at 1pm. Registration is required.

Dining Out is our way of giving back to the community. Each month a restaurant is featured. Ride the senior van or meet us there. Order a full entrée or just appetizers. Please join us Tuesdays for a “socially nutritional” evening or Saturdays for some communal nourishment.
