Help us deck our center halls for the holidays!  This is YOUR center so let’s gather together to decorate it by putting up decorations & dressing our Christmas trees. A special performance by Fitch High School Choirs and String Orchestra will kick off our festivities. Refreshments provided. Please register. 860-441-6785.

 

Tuesday, November 19th- Thanksgiving Luncheon

Time: 11:30am

Enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner menu with friends.  Roasted turkey, gravy, herbed bread stuffing, cranberry sauce, mac & cheese, broccoli mix vegetables, rolls, sweet potato pie, and more will make up a hearty meal.  Wear you eating pants!  Cost: $12 per person.

 

Register by  Friday, Nov 15th. You can reserve a table of 4 or 8 by having all the names  and payment when registering.

 

ZENTANGLE starts Thursday 10/31 for 8 weeks session

Sign up now for our next session of ZENTANGLE Thursdays 1230 pm to 3 pm; 8 weeks session beginning Oct 31st. $115 per resident

Zentangle is a relaxing way of drawing complex patterns, one step at a time. No artistic ability is needed. We will be creating a number of pieces this semester, including the ornaments shown here. Most projects are done in one session, some of the larger works take 2 classes. Hope you can join us!

Thanksgiving Luncheon

Thursday, November 21st  at 12:00pm for the Thanksgiving Luncheon & performance featuring Joe Mac who plays 50’s, 60’s and 70’s Rock and Roll immediately following. Donations cost for lunch is $3.00 for seniors aged 60 and over. Lunch reservations need to be made between November 1st and November 12th by calling 860-388-1611 and telling them you wish to sign up for the Thanksgiving Luncheon at the Old Lyme Site.

The New Horizon’s Band

Wednesday, November 20th at 1:00pm as The New Horizon’s Band of the Community Music School will perform various marches, show tunes, classics and seasonal music for us. This all-Seniors band is a reminder to us that you are never too old to pick up an instrument.
