Non-residents will be charged a $1.00 surcharge.

When registering for any of the trips listed below, you can sign up yourself and one other person only. Payment is due upon registration. Please stop by the Senior Center office.

Senior Center Day Trips use a bus from the Center for transport to and from the destinations.  Number of seats very limited.

Departure time: 11:00am

Return time: 3:30pm

Wed, Aug 14th – Join us for lunch at Breakwater restaurant in Stonington. Shopping afterwards. Departure from the Senior Center at 11am. Return around 3:30pm. Trip fee is $5pp.

 

Tuesday, October 15th- Day Trip to Polka at the Aqua Turf

Tue, Oct 15th Polka at the Aqua Turf featuring the The Polka Family Band. Bring your dancing shoes or just come for the fun music. Lunch included. Trip fee is $73pp. Minimal walking. Registration begins Jul 1st.

 

Tuesday, October 1st- Day Trip to Tour of a Cranberry Bog

Tue, Oct 1st – Join us for a narrated tour of a Cranberry Bog at A.D. Makepeach Co – the world’s largest cranberry grower. Lunch is included at Lindsey’ Family Restaurant and menu choice is needed upon registration. Stop at Dorothy Cox Chocolates Factory before heading home. Trip fee is $92pp. Moderate walking. Registration begins Jul 1st.

 

Wednesday, August 14th- TVCCA Special Meal

MENU: Hamburger & Hot Dog (lettuce, tomato & onion), Macaroni Salad, Garden Salad,  and Italian ice.

Time: 11:45am

$4.50pp suggested donation.

Reservation needed by noon Thu, Aug 8th

 

Wednesday, August 7th- Mature Driver Safety Class

Time: 9:15am to 1:15pm

This course reviews and reinforces safe driving skills. No driving test and no written test. Contact your automobile insurance company regarding a potential discount with completion of the course.

Where: East Lyme Public Library

How: Register with the Senior Center in person. Payment is expected at time of registration.

Time: 10am-6pm

Fundraiser for the East Lyme Senior Center and the East Lyme Library with Local Artist Rolf Ochsner

Held in the Community Center Foyer

Friday, August 9th- National Watermelon Day Celebration

Time: Call Senior Center

Enjoy delicious watermelon salad

with feta and cucumber,

BLT sandwiches, chips and a drink. Games will be played during lunch.
