We get up each morning. Begin our routine. Bathroom. Coffee. Read the paper. Watch the news. Shower. Dress. And so, the day begins.
In those moments are you living or existing? Me at that point I’m existing. Getting going in the morning is a real chore for me. I’m not a bright bubbly person at the start of the day.
Soon I’m living! I’m doing a job I love. Enjoying my husband and our beagle. Interacting with others. Planning what’s next. Enjoying the grass getting green, the beginning of leaves and flowers. Spotting my first Hummingbird of the year!
I hope all of you are LIVING as well!
Break your routines! The same old thing is boring!
Do something new and out of your ordinary.
Be the best you can be.

STATE OF CONNECTICUT’S RENTERS’ REBATE PROGRAM

To qualify you have to be: Living in New London, disabled or 65 years or older.

Documents to bring to your appointment: Valid drivers license or ID, proof of disability from Social Security , rent receipts for each month of 2017 (or a statement from  your landlord listing how much you paid in rent for each month of 2017), all statements of income from 2017 (e.g. Social Security, pension, tax return, etc.), and statement of all utility bills you paid in 2017.  Apply April 1 – October 1,  2018 by calling: 860-447-5232

 

Wednesday, May 30th- Trip to Beach Walk or Crystal Mall (LOYO)

Departure Time: 9:00am

Register by May 25 at 2:30pm.

IMPORTANT TRANSPORTATION POLICY UPDATE

TRIP RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENTS DUE DATES will appear in the section below (“Where are we going  this month?”) next to each scheduled trip, starting this month.
PAYMENTS ARE DUE AT THE TIME WHEN THE RESERVATIONS ARE MADE. If you are unable to pay at that time, you should place your name on the waiting list. Reservations for trips may be made over the telephone only if there is no payment required.
There are no transfers of spaces to friends when cancelling. If you must cancel a trip, please call  us as soon as possible .
REFUNDS: No Refunds are given on day trips if a replacement is not found for your spot. Time of return home for all trips is approximate. Please keep in mind it is extremely difficult to determine exact return times.
