As part of Super Bowl weekend this event pairs food with sports. Participants have opportunity to sample a variety of seasonal soups from local restaurants while bidding on various sports memorabilia. This event attracts sports enthusiasts young and old. The event is designed  to allow local restaurants an  opportunity to showcase their signature soup to the community. This is one of a few events that help create a sense of community and positively impact the Quality of the Place in Groton.

Senior scams are on the rise, but with proper prevention and education, we can reverse that trend. To increase your odds that you or a loved one—or someone in your care—can avoid becoming a victim of financial exploitation, you need to know the facts. At the seminar, you’ll find out how big the problem of financial exploitation is, who’s committing the crime, common examples of senior scams, how to recognize signs of abuse, what the long-term effects of exploitation are, how to prevent it, and where to go for help.
