Wednesday, February 28th- Move Showing: The Mountain Between Us

Time: 1:00pm

Movies are shown the last Wednesday of the month at 1:00 p.m. Concession snacks will be available for purchase. Free drinks

The Mountain Between Us  (2017 rated PG13) When their plane crashes into the side of a mountain, two strangers forge a friendship based on necessity. If they want to survive while waiting for help, they will need to work together. However, it quickly become obvious that no help will be arriving anytime soon. In order to get back to the only world they know, they will need to make an incredible trek. Risking their lives in order to save them, these two will test the boundaries of nature-and their budding relationship. Idris Elba and Kate Winslet star.

Individuals wishing to participate in Groton Senior Center activities must meet the following criteria:

  • Able to toilet themselves
  • Able to feed themselves
  • Be able to self-ambulate
  • Be oriented to their current surroundings
  • Behave in a non-aggressive and non-disruptive manner
  • Maintain clean body and clothing
  • Participate in activities or programs appropriate for them
  • Have the desire to participate in programs or activities.

Persons not meeting the required criteria are welcome; however, they must be escorted by a knowledgeable caregiver.

THANK YOU GOLDEN NUGGETS!

Thank You to Rose City Senior Center’s glee club, Golden Nuggets for the wonderful Winter Concert they had for us in January!  The concert really showcased this group’s amazing talent!  The Roseland Combo also joined the concert with some wonderful music and Jim Conover, the Golden Nuggets director delighted us with a couple of solos!  Thank you all again for this fun and delightful concert!

Thank You to Rose City Senior Center’s concert band, Roseland Combo, who delightfully entertained us in December with a special Holiday Concert!  The event was well attended and much appreciated by all.  This wonderful band consists of very talented Senior Center members.
