Food Pantry for Seniors

Our new food pantry program, Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), is for persons 60 years of age and older and has an income limit requirement. The food will be delivered to our senior center once per month and you will be notified of the delivery date in advance.

We are now enrolling the food pantry participants, so please call Marina to schedule your enrollment appointment (860) 437-6339.   

 

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 19th- UCONN Women’s Basketball VS. OKLAHOMA AT MOHEGAN SUN

Come enjoy a game at the Mohegan Sun. UCONN Women’s basketball versus Oklahoma. There will be a self-pay dinner before the game at Infinity Palace Chinese Buffet. The Senior Center bus will depart at 4:15 pm.   Game doors open at 6:00pm.  Game starts at 7:00pm.

TICKETS FOR THE GAME ARE $26.

Friday, November 3rd- ​V.F.W. FIRST FRIDAY DINNER

Time: 5:00pm – 7:30pm

Menu: CHICKEN ALFREDO DINNER-Fettuccini with a delicate alfredo sauce, grilled chicken, seasoned focaccia bread and dessert.

Tickets: $10:00

V.F.W. FIRST FRIDAY DINNER
Each month the VFW POST 10004 will host a benefit dinner on the first Friday of the month. One local community organization will be selected in advance to receive 50% of the net profit from the dinner. The additional 50% will be equally distributed to two other local community organizations at random and will be announced during the dinner. The Senior C enter is one of the local organizations participating. 100% Net profit goes back into the community!!

Thursday, November 22nd- THANKSGIVING MEALS

If you would like a hot meal delivered to you on Thanksgiving Day, Please call the Senior Center (860) 376-2604 to sign up. There is no cost for the meal.

 

Wednesday, November 15th- TVCCA SPECIAL MEAL

Time: 11:30am

Menu: Turkey w/Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, Butternut Squash, Cranberry Sauce and Apple Pie.
