Dining Out is our way of giving back to the community that gives to us. An evening outing of dining, socializing, and enjoyment! Each month one special restaurant will be featured. Our van will pick you up or you can meet us there. Each person pays their own tab. Order a full entrée or just appetizers. Registration required.
If the area experiences bad weather – classes, programs and transportation may be cancelled OR the Senior Center may be closed.

A community health worker from Generations Family Health Center will be at the Senior Center to discuss the health care services they offer. Generations offers access to
Primary Care (Medical, Dental and Behavioral Health) and is currently accepting new patients of all ages. Generations also offers assistance with insurance applications, a Sliding Fee Scale available, assistance with linkages to financial benefits, and can help you to afford your prescriptions
Drop-in between 11:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. to discuss your health care needs. An appointment is not needed. Generations Family Health Center is located at 330 Washington Street, Norwich.
Three Rivers Community College
Adventures in Lifelong Learning (ALL) is a unique non-credit program that allows students age 50 and older to participate in classes for a low per-semester fee of just $15. In addition to one day classes on a variety of topics, the program also offers a film series, and a weekly Writer’s Group. Field trips to area museums, historic sites, and other attractions are also occasionally offered.
Starting mid-February, the Spring Classes Brochure will be posted on their website with information on registration. Classes start in March. The $15 semester fee covers you to participate in as many classes as you wish. Contact information is below, and be on the lookout for the Spring Brochure in February!

Rose City Senior Center’s Roseland Combo is looking for additional people to join them in entertaining a variety of groups. Stop by any Tuesday morning
at 10:15 a.m. to meet with the current band members and see what joining the group is all about.
The group meets weekly on Tuesdays for rehearsal and periodically performs at local area senior housings, nursing homes, etc. Open to Senior Center Members only.

If you wish to have your taxes done by an AARP Foundation Tax-Aide volunteer, please call the Senior Center or stop by the reception desk to schedule an appointment. Appointments are available on Tuesdays or Thursdays.
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide provides tax assistance free of charge, with a focus on taxpayers who are age 50 and older with low to moderate income. Tax-Aide volunteers can help with most, but not all, tax returns. If you have an extremely complicated return, Tax-Aide may not be able to help.

If you would like to have lunch on this day, stop by the Dining Room between 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. and talk to Aaron. You need to sign up for lunch at least 3 days in advance and paperwork is required to be filled out in order to sign up. Suggested donation for lunch is $3.00 for seniors 60 and older.

Hikers from other towns are welcome to participate.
Medium hikes may have a few hills, rocks or beach sand.
*The difficult hike is more strenuous; participants must have completed two medium hikes with the group before enrolling into a difficult hike.
All hikes are approximately three to four miles long, and will begin at 9:30 A.M.
Hikers who wish to carpool should meet at East Lyme Senior Center at 9:00 A.M.
Distances, locations and leaders are subject to change, if necessary.
All hikers must register by Wednesday for each hike by
calling the East Lyme Senior Center – 860-739-5859.
Hikers are to bring water and sturdy shoes; and lunch,
insect repellent and sunscreen if desired.
