Thu, April 7th – Join the Lymes’ Senior Center for a trip to the Mohegan Sun. Departure will be from the East Lyme Senior Center but checks will be made out to the Lymes’ Senior Center. No meal included in ticket price but you will receive a casino package. Trip fee is $20pp. Registration begins January 4th. Moderate walking.
Transportation To / From the Senior Center
Transportation to the Senior Center is available beginning at 8:30 am, with return trips at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. Please call the center before noon the day before to schedule a ride for the next day.

Michael Ciulla Performance
February 3rd at 1:30pm Michael Ciulla a NYC professionally trained singer, actor, and voiceover artist with extensive professional experience will perform for us. He will perform music from such artists as Frank Sinatra, Nat Cole, Count Basie, Dean Martin, Louis Jordan, Cole, Irving Berlin and Glenn Miller. Louis Prima, Bobby Darin, The Everly Brothers, Roy Orbison and Elvis Presley. This performance is sponsored by the Senior Club and admission will be $1.00 at the door.
Movie: Groundhog Day
On February 2nd at 1:00pm we will be showing the movie Groundhogs Day will Bill Murray. This comedy will be show in closed caption.

Our first stop is the Providence Place Mall were you will have time on your own to shop and have brunch/early lunch. Providence Place Mall is home to over 150 stores; something for everyone! Be sure to leave time to enjoy a quick meal at one of the many restaurants located in the Mall. Food purchases are on your own.
After shopping and dining, we head over to the Providence Performing Arts Center for our 1:00 PM matinee performance of Rogers and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music!

Medicare Savings Programs
On Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. we will have Shayla DelGiudice discuss the benefits of the Medicare Savings Program. Under the Medicare improvement for Patients and Providers Act of 2008 (MIPPA), states, received funding to help Medicare beneficiaries apply for the Medicare Part D Extra Help/Low-Income Subsidy (LIS) and the Medicare Savings Programs (MSPs).

Massage Demonstration
January 13th at 1:00pm Massage Demonstration from Bonne Sante. Isabelle McKeon, licensed massage therapist from Bonne Santé Wellness Center Old Lyme, will provide a brief demonstration of therapeutic massage and an explanation of the benefits of therapeutic massage for seniors. She will demonstrate massage techniques that benefit many ailments experienced by the elderly by using gentle and light application of massage techniques and passive stretching and a light oil~ to permit muscles to be worked on without causing excessive friction to the skin. D Day, What Led Up To It & Its Impact
January 12th at 1:00pm for a program “D Day, What Led up to it & Its Impact” given by Mark Albertson. Mark has been a member of the United States Naval Institute for more than 25 years. He is an historical research editor at Army Aviation magazine and has authored three books: USS Connecticut: Constitution State Battleship, They’ll Have to Follow You! The Triumph of the Great White Fleet, and On History: A Treatise. He teaches World War II history at Norwalk Community College for Lifetime Learners. Please call to register.
