Thrive55+ Active Living Center (powered by Groton Senior Center) is the premiere location for nutrition, health and technology and recreational classes, special events and trips, transportation, information and referral services for Groton residents 55 years and older. Programs in health, computers/technology, finance, fitness, art, enrichment and more are offered year-round and there are special events constantly throughout the year. We are active, social and involved and welcome all not only Groton residents. *TUESDAY, Dec 5th < Arthur Murray Niantic Dance Center will be here at noon to give us a ballroom dance demo at lunch time! P Lease join us THURSDAY, Dec 7th  our AWESOME & VERY AFFORDABLE Registered Dietitian Deb Downes will be offering a free  HANDLING THE HOLIDAYS  Nutrition workshop at 10:30-11:30 am.   She will tell you tips on how to “enjoy, and not deprive” !! Also, there will be a sampling to taste and helpful information to get you through the holidays!

Tuesdays- Needle Felting

Time: 9:00am- 10:00am

Needle Felting: beginners will learn the technique of
using felting needles on wool/alpaca fibers to complete the
simple but unique craft item. All materials will be provided.

MEDICARE seminar December 6th 1 to 3 pm

Due to reduction of medicare assistance due to the state budget cuts Senior Benefits and Medicare Specialist will be having a MEDICARE seminar December 6 1 to 3 pm, this will allow all the people that put off enrolling an opportunity before the December 7th deadline.

Receive a Christmas stocking to fill up with a gift from each of our Holly Days stops: Tower Hill Botanic Garden in Boylston, Delicious lunch awaits us at the Old Mill in Westminster, Hebert’s Candy Mansion in Shrewsbury, and then Oakwood Farm Christmas Barn in Spencer.
