Thrive55+ Active Living Center (powered by Groton Senior Center) is the premiere location for nutrition, health and technology and recreational classes, special events and trips, transportation, information and referral services for Groton residents 55 years and older. Programs in health, computers/technology, finance, fitness, art, enrichment and more are offered year-round and there are special events constantly throughout the year. We are active, social and involved and welcome all not only Groton residents. Second Tuesdays of the Month- General CLUB 55 Meeting

Groton Club 55 holds monthly meetings for our members at 12:30 pm, on the second Tuesday of each month. Mark your calendars now to come join us, learn what’s going on at the Groton Senior Center, and enjoy a dessert treat on us afterward!  It’s a great opportunity to join with friends while keeping up with the many activities scheduled at your Senior Center.

This chorus takes you down memory lane and brings ‘sunshine’ to its members with a singalong format.  Perform only here at the Center. Carol Pratt, Director.

Second Tuesday of the Month- VNA Foot Clinic

VNA nurse provides basic foot care and toe nail clipping for participants. Those with Diabetes or other circulatory conditions are referred to a physician.

This service is offered every 2nd Tuesday and 3rd Wednesday at Groton Senior Center, call 860-441-6785 to schedule.

Mondays- Cribbage Play or Instructional

Time: 10:30am

Cribbage is a FREE program offered by our wonderful volunteer Ed Dowd who teaches cribbage and leads the cribbage play amongest groups weekly.

Instructional has a maximum of 12 people.

Instructional located in CRC.

Cribbage located in CR1.

 

Acrylic Painting- Friday

NOT BEING HELD THIS SESSION

Time: 9:00 – 11:00am

Introduction to Acrylic Painting will encompass color theory, blending colors, using a brush as well as a painting knife, training your eyes to see as an artist and having fun! Starting with the fundamentals of painting and ending with a painting to be proud of!

$80.00 per resident for 8 weeks
