Thrive55+ Active Living Center (powered by Groton Senior Center) is the premiere location for nutrition, health and technology and recreational classes, special events and trips, transportation, information and referral services for Groton residents 55 years and older. Programs in health, computers/technology, finance, fitness, art, enrichment and more are offered year-round and there are special events constantly throughout the year. We are active, social and involved and welcome all not only Groton residents. Club 55 is fundraising for a new LED sign!

Club 55 is heading the fundraising for a new LED sign to replace the current Groton Public Library and Groton Senior Center sign at the entrance to the campus. This sign will not only be promoting programs from the senior center and library but will also alert town residents to emergencies and provide emergency information. Donations for the sign can be accepted by Club 55 and will be greatly appreciated.

Saturday, April 8- RENT at Providence Performing Arts Center

In 1996, an original rock musical by a little-known composer opened on Broadway and forever changed the landscape of American theater. Two decades later, Jonathan Larson’s RENT continues to speak loudly and defiantly to audiences across generations and all over the world. Orchestra Seats – 2 pm show. Depart GSC at 12:30 pm – GSC transportation

We provide the ride and worry about the parking. You enjoy the day! Trip cost includes coach transportation and driver gratuity. We depart at 7:30 am with approximate return of 8:30 pm. Fun for all ages!

An all new 5K muddy trail run for anyone 10+
along the trails of Fields of Fire Adventure Park.
Choose a beginner or expert level trail with fun
challenges and obstacles and of course lots of MUD!

Saturday, March 18- Mystic Irish 5K Road Race

Wear your best green gear and join us for the 3rd annual Mystic Irish 5K certified race to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day weekend in Mystic. Make it a weekend by running the race on Saturday and viewing the Irish Parade on Sunday. The course starts and ends in downtown Mystic and travels along scenic River Road on the banks of the Mystic River.

$3 from every runner is donated to the Mystic Irish Parade Foundation!
