Thrive55+ Active Living Center (powered by Groton Senior Center) is the premiere location for nutrition, health and technology and recreational classes, special events and trips, transportation, information and referral services for Groton residents 55 years and older. Programs in health, computers/technology, finance, fitness, art, enrichment and more are offered year-round and there are special events constantly throughout the year. We are active, social and involved and welcome all not only Groton residents. Groton’s Season of Celebration

This event is for all ages of our community incorporating many holiday
celebrations. At Thrive 55+ & Groton Public Library lot.

There will be displays of all the holiday celebrations, children’s activities,
entertainment – bell choir, carolers, dancers, hayrides, special guests and
food trucks. Plus special guests!

UCONN Master Gardener Presentation

When we can order anything from an Aardvark to a Zymometer on the internet why do we need a catalog? We’ll look at the ten best catalogs, all focused on the New England gardener. They should answer your questions about when to plant, how long before you can harvest, cut, or have color in the garden? And, besides answering your questions about catalogs, we’ll also cover legal seed saving, GMOs, and… Well, anything in the garden.

Stop by our Thrive 55+ and visit the “Artists Nook”  for some holiday shopping!

We have various local artists selling handmade items to name a few:  gourd bird houses, jewelry, paper flowers , drift wood trees and so much more! The Nook is open Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays 8:30-11:00. The holiday sale starts today and ends on November 27th .  Cash only sales.
