Thrive55+ Active Living Center (powered by Groton Senior Center) is the premiere location for nutrition, health and technology and recreational classes, special events and trips, transportation, information and referral services for Groton residents 55 years and older. Programs in health, computers/technology, finance, fitness, art, enrichment and more are offered year-round and there are special events constantly throughout the year. We are active, social and involved and welcome all not only Groton residents. Dining Out is our way of giving back to the community that gives to us. An evening outing of dining, socializing, and enjoyment! Each month one special restaurant will be featured. Our van will pick you up or you can meet us there. Each person pays their own tab. Order a full entrée or just appetizers.

Fantastic venue with a delicious and filling lunch plus coffee & donuts,
door prizes, complimentary glass of beer or wine. Aqua Turf doors open at
11am – lunch at 12:00pm- 3:30 pm. We depart Thrive 55+ at 10 am.

OATS at TreeTrails Adventure Park

Friday, November 2nd from 2:00-4:00pm

 

2 hours of Rope Climbing Course in Mystic -Set on 50 acres of beautiful CT Woodlands. It will challenge your body, mind and spirit. With 5 adult courses -beginner to expert courses, it is a safe, fun and memorable tree top climbing experience that includes 2 belay safety system zip lines, cargo nets and tree to tree obstacles.

MUST register by Oct 28th.

COST is $39 per person (usual cost is $59 pp).

Poetry & the Arts for Healing Humanity

Everyone is welcome to share poems and some form of the Arts expressing peace or peacefulness. We’ll also talk about positive, non- political news events or actions or occurrences in our everyday lives that show kindness, compassion, oneness of humanity, caring, etc are growing into our culture. Peace is Possible!

Discussion will include Protecting Yourself and Steps to Take to Prevent Financial Fraud.
