CLUB 55: The Year In Review
Club 55 enjoyed a great year in 2024 thanks to its members, Thrive 55+ staff and all of you. Our success was due to the gifted bakers, creative quilters, talented crafters and willing volunteers who made our programs and events wonderful. Thank you for your support!
Highlights:
- Valentine’s Day pop-up coupon giveaway for a coffee and a treat at The Cove. NEW!
- Spirited Soles Irish Dance Troupe sponsored by Club 55 for the Center’s St. Patrick’s Day Luncheon
- Flea Market on May 11th
- Remembrance Gathering on May 23rd NEW!
- Academic Achievement Awards granted to five Groton residents for a total of $3500
- Bake Sale at the Groton Outdoor Market on June 8th
- Scoopmobile visit with free ice cream for 120 people at Thrive 55+ on July 24th NEW!
- Celebration of Summer Dinner Dance with DJ Gabe on August 23rd
- Octoberfest Dessert Table with free treats for all on October 24th NEW!
- Artisans Fair on November 2nd
- Sponsor Santa’s visit and Children’s Craft Table at Groton’s Season of Celebrations event on December 7th
- Holiday Luncheon with the Ledyard Carolers and door prizes on December 18th
