ROSE CITY SENIOR CENTER

MISSION STATEMENT

To offer recreational, educational, social, health, and human service programs which are designed to foster independence and community involvement for persons age 55 and older.

The Norwich Senior Center was established in 1974. After the construction of the new building in 1994, the name was changed to the Rose City Senior Center. The City of Norwich, Community Development, Senior Resources—Agency on Aging, and other state and local grants provide funding.

HOURS OF OPERATION

The Senior Center is open 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Please note that City Hall and many other departments are generally open from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.

INCLEMENT WEATHER NOTICE

If the area experiences bad weather, the city may close offices and/or cancel programs. Please listen to WICH-1310 AM, WCTY-97.7 FM, or watch WFSB, TV Channel 3. Additionally, you can sign up for alerts for closings and late openings by clicking on the link

Tuesday, August 20th- Senior Center Summer Picnic with Entertainment

Beginning at noon

Join us for some good food, great fun and fabulous entertainment!  With “Chef Mike” working the grill, it’s an event not to be missed!  Enjoy a great meal with great friends!  Sure to be a fun time!

Menu: Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Salads, Chips, Drinks and Dessert.

(Chicken Burger can be substituted, but must be requested at sign up.)

$7 per person.  Tickets available at reception starting on July 15st.  Payment due at sign up.
