Christmas Food Basket

If you or someone you know is in need of a Holiday Food Basket with Turkey and all the fixings, plus many other food staples, please call the Montville Senior Center @ #860-848-0422. Please call to sign up for our FOOD Baskets for
this Christmas Holiday. Don’t miss out, let us help you enjoy the holidays.

Last day to sign up is Wednesday, December 13th. Our Baskets will be distributed on Saturday, December 16th from 9:00– 12:00 a.m. Must sign up to receive a basket.

Come join us for your first Christmas Dinner of the Season at the Center! Please call or come in to sign up on the bulletin board if you plant to attend. We hope to see you all here and enjoy good food with good friends!

Bus Trip to NYC

Saturday, December 2nd

 

The bus will leave the Montville Senior Center at 7:00.

Once we arrive in NYC, the day is yours to explore, shop, eat, or go to a museum, play or tour.

There’s ice skating and the Christmas Tree will be up/decorated in Rockefeller Center! You can also enjoy the Holiday Bazaar in Bryant Park (behind the Public Library).

November 7th: Senior Center Closed for Voting

On Tuesday, November 7th, the Senior Center is being used as a voting precinct.

The building will be CLOSED for the day except for voting.  ALL Senior Center programs and classes are cancelled for the day.   ALL rooms will be closed.  NO lunch will be served. 

We will still be providing transportation to Medical Appointments on this day.

 

Mini Holiday Craft Fair

Thursday, November 16th from 9:30am-1:30pm

 

Stop by for some holiday shopping at our mini craft fair.  Hand-made crafts and one of a kind items made by talented Senior Center Members!  A great way to pick up some holiday gifts.  See you there!

Boston Pops – Holiday Pops

Symphony Hall, Boston, MA

Friday, December 15th

Join us for a festive day in Boston!  Our drop off location will be at the Prudential Center where you will have time on your own for lunch, shopping and taking in the sights of the season.  Next, make your way to Symphony Hall for the 3:00 p.m. performance of Boston Pops’ Holiday Pops.

Celebrate the most wonderful time of the year!  The Boston Pops’ Holiday Pops concert is a festive feast for the eyes, ears and soul.  This time-honored production, led by conductor Keith Lockhart, is filled with Yuletide cheer, bolstered by upbeat arrangements of classic carols and popular Christmas songs, a joyful sing-along and a visit from the one and only St. Nick himself!

These amazing concerts take place in the magical atmosphere of the world-famous Symphony Hall, beautifully decorated to evoke all the magic and charm of the season.  Opened in 1900, Symphony Hall is acoustically one of the top three concert halls in the world.

(Symphony Hall is located approx. 1/3 mile walk from Prudential Center.)

COST: $90 per person includes charter bus transportation and center second balcony ticket to Holiday Pops 3:00 p.m. performance.  Driver tip not included.

These lectures are FREE for members, $10 for non-member.
