These are our fundraisers so that we can provide all the many activities and programs for free to our seniors! We will have a wonderful menu
with delicious food, some great entertainment, and many friends to enjoy the afternoon with! Come and have some fun with us and let’s celebrate another beautiful Autumn in Connecticut while supporting our senior center! Please sign up on the bulletin board if you plan to attend. Bus is available.

Attention Monday Afternoon Game Players…

The Monday afternoon games session will resume on Monday, September 12th at the Preston Senior Center. The center is reserved for game day from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. each Monday (except for holidays or whether cancellations). Come, enjoy a fun filled afternoon and bring your friends.

Anyone interested in a Bingo Session? We’re investigating the possibility of
offering Bingo at the center again. We’re looking at the possibility of starting
something in late Fall. We’ll keep you posted as to the progress that we’re
making.

A Rockin’ Block Party

A Rockin’ Block Party (Regional Event)– Music Provided by the Corvettes Doo Wop Revue On, Thursday, September 22nd 23rd from 5-7:30pm we will be having an outdoor dance party. Food trucks will be available or you can bring your own dinner. But bring your own chairs.

This will be held at the Groton Senior Center– 102 Newtown Road.
Carpooling is strongly suggested and there will be transportation available for an additional fee.
Cost is $10.00 and tickets are limited. Tickets go on sale August 1st.

On, Wednesday, September 21st at 1:00pm, Doug Murphy of Century Senior Referrals LLC will be here to present and answer questions about the types of assisted living options, understanding how it can help, choosing the right community, researching the costs, making a plan on how to pay for care, talking to your family about it, logistics, and the move in experience. Virtual Real Time Tour of the Nile River

Tuesday, August 16th from 10:00-11:00am

 

Come join us as we take a trip up the Nile and watch the sun go down. “We will travel by motor boat, taking a trip on the longest river in the world that has so much history sail on it is one on nearly everyone’s bucket list. You will get to see the difference between the East and West Banks of the Nile plus some of the wildlife that lives there.”
