VNA Health Fair and Flu Clinic.

October 19th, 2019  from 8:00am-12:00pm the Old Lyme VNA will be holding a Health Fair and Flu Clinic here at the Senior Center. Residents of Lyme and Old Lyme 40 and over with proof of residency will receive a free flu shot. The health fair will also offer free blood pressure, vision testing, hearing testing, foot clinic, etc. In additon the Old Lyme Historical Society will be selling plants to benefit their scholarship program.

GSC Transportation Changes

The following changes to medical transportation have been made:

¨ Morning appointments must be made at 9:00, 9:30 or 10:00am.

¨ Afternoon appointments must be made at 1:00, 1:30 or 2:00pm.

¨ The center will not be able to take appointments at other times because it is difficult to get everyone where they need to be on time.

¨ If you have a 10am or a 2pm appointment and are not ready by 11:30am or by  3:30pm, you must use another transportation option to get home.

¨ You are responsible for telling your doctor’s office when you have transportation available for  appointments.

Wednesday, September 4th- Norwich Flea & Tick Collar Clinic

Provided by The Connecticut Humane Society.  Appointments NOT needed.  No Cost.

Who can attend this clinic? Any pet owner in New London County (and their dog or cat).

What will be provided to dogs or cats at this clinic? Free Seresto flea & tick collar for up to 2 pets. These collars protect dogs and cats for 8 months against fleas and ticks.

Do I need to bring my pet(s) with me? Yes! Pets must be present at the clinic and must be older than 12 weeks to receive a collar.

Is there a limit to the number of pets I bring? Each family is limited to 2 pets. Only dogs and cats will be seen. All dogs must be leashed and all cats must be in carriers.

We reserve the right to refuse sick, pregnant, or aggressive pets.

Do I need an appointment? No. Free collars will be given out from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Where is the clinic held? The clinic will be held at the Rose City Senior Center (Art Room).
