No Appointment Necessary – Just Walk-In

Vaccine covered by Medicare and the Medicare Advantage Plans for Aetna, Anthem and

ConnectiCare or the following insurance companies: Aetna, Anthem (including Blue Cross/Blue Shield), ConnectiCare and Cigna.  There is a fee for anyone not covered by Medicare or insurance.

Please bring a copy of your driver’s license and insurance card or Medicare card to provide your identification and information needed to bill your insurance.

2020 Annual Enrollment Period Dates

Dates and deadlines you need to know:

October 15, 2019-  Annual Enrollment Period Begins

This is the first day you can enroll for 2020 health coverage.

December 7, 2019- Annual Enrollment Period ends

This is the last day you can enroll for 2020 health coverage.

January 1, 2020- First date coverage can state

Even if you enroll in December 2019, your new Medicare plan won’t go into effect until January 1, 2020.

VNA Health Fair and Flu Clinic.

October 19th, 2019  from 8:00am-12:00pm the Old Lyme VNA will be holding a Health Fair and Flu Clinic here at the Senior Center. Residents of Lyme and Old Lyme 40 and over with proof of residency will receive a free flu shot. The health fair will also offer free blood pressure, vision testing, hearing testing, foot clinic, etc. In additon the Old Lyme Historical Society will be selling plants to benefit their scholarship program.

GSC Transportation Changes

GSC Transportation Changes

The following changes to medical transportation have been made:

¨ Morning appointments must be made at 9:00, 9:30 or 10:00am.

¨ Afternoon appointments must be made at 1:00, 1:30 or 2:00pm.

¨ The center will not be able to take appointments at other times because it is difficult to get everyone where they need to be on time.

¨ If you have a 10am or a 2pm appointment and are not ready by 11:30am or by  3:30pm, you must use another transportation option to get home.

¨ You are responsible for telling your doctor’s office when you have transportation available for  appointments.
