NOTARY PUBLIC
We can notarize most simple documents, however, due to legal restraints we are no longer notarizing Last Wills, Living Wills or Power of Attorney documents. Please make an appointment for Notary services by calling 860-889-5960.
Transportation To / From the Senior Center
Transportation to the Senior Center is available beginning at 8:30 am, with return trips at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. Please call the center before noon the day before to schedule a ride for the next day.
Massage Demonstration
January 13th at 1:00pm Massage Demonstration from Bonne Sante. Isabelle McKeon, licensed massage therapist from Bonne Santé Wellness Center Old Lyme, will provide a brief demonstration of therapeutic massage and an explanation of the benefits of therapeutic massage for seniors. She will demonstrate massage techniques that benefit many ailments experienced by the elderly by using gentle and light application of massage techniques and passive stretching and a light oil~ to permit muscles to be worked on without causing excessive friction to the skin. AARP’s Life Reimagined
January 5th at 1:00pm join us for AARP’s Life Reimagined. Reimagining your life can mean new passions to pursue, work that’s rewarding, great people to connect with and a healthier and more fulfilling lifestyle. This session is 60 minutes, and offers a personalized, authentic and thought-provoking approach to help you navigate the next phase of your life. Please call to register.
Caroling
Come get in the holiday spirit with us on December 15th & 17 as we go caroling to the Shut In’s. No musical experience needed. We will meet here at 12:45pm and carpool to our destinations. We will enjoy cookies and hot chocolate back at the center after our musical visits. Song Sheets will be provided. Please call to sign up.

Transportation Services through the Senior Center
The East Lyme Senior Center provides transit services to residents of the Town of East Lyme who are 60+ or under 60 with a disability which prevents them from driving. This service runs Monday through Friday and operates between the hours of 8:30am and 4:00pm, barring any holidays. See the attached Explanation of Services. Detailed Services

Dial-a-Ride Grant for Medical Transportation for Senior/Disabled Individuals
The Caregiver Mileage Reimbursement and Medical Transportation program is for seniors 60+ and persons with disabilities who either are unable to drive, utilize public transportation, or when the service hours of town funded senior transportation are unable to meet their needs and is only available to the residents of participating towns. This service is funded through a state grant and is contingent upon availability of grant funds. This program is provided through the Eastern Connecticut Transportation Consortium, Inc. ECTC is a private, non-profit agency that brokers and provides transit services for persons of low income, seniors, and persons with disabilities. See the attached Explanation of Services. Volunteers needed for student in training for RELEXOLOGY! Reflexology is the therapy of pressure point in the feet to help heal many ailments, including stress! It is also a very relaxing therapy.
