Our first stop is the Providence Place Mall were you will have time on your own to shop and have brunch/early lunch. Providence Place Mall is home to over 150 stores; something for everyone! Be sure to leave time to enjoy a quick meal at one of the many restaurants located in the Mall. Food purchases are on your own.
After shopping and dining, we head over to the Providence Performing Arts Center for our 1:00 PM matinee performance of Rogers and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music!
Set in Austria in 1938, The Sound of Music tells the story of Maria, who takes a job as governess to a Navel widower’s seven children. She falls in love with the children, and eventually their father, Captain von Trapp.
This spirited, romantic and beloved musical story of Maria and the Von Trapp Family will thrill you with its Tony®, Grammy® and Academy Award® winning songs, including “My Favorite Things,” “Do-Re-Mi,” “Climb Ev’ry Mountain,” “Edelweiss” and “The Sound of Music”.
COST: $ 65 per person includes The Sound of Music center orchestra show ticket and transportation. Driver tip is not included. Food purchases are on your own.
