Do you know what to do to be prepared for an impending storm?  Please join Mary Ellen Welch, Family and Consumer Sciences Educator from the University of Connecticut Extension, as she discusses steps to take in order to be prepared in advance of storms.

Topics to be discussed include:

  • Making a personal supply kit.
  • The importance of staying in touch with a family member or friend.
  • Deciding whether to stay in place or evacuate before a storm.
  • Having a small emergency fund.
  • Dealing with power outages.

Please sign up at Reception if you will be attending.

Adult Diapers

The Senior Center occasionally has packages of adult diapers donated which are available to seniors in need.  If you are in need of some, please ask.  Be aware that we cannot take requests for certain brand names.  We can let you know if we have the size and type (pull-on, tab or pads) you are looking for.

Best Wishes to Camille Lord

Thank you and BEST WISHES to longtime Line Dancing instructor, Camille Lord.  Camille has decided to step aside from teaching our Line Dancing class on Mondays

and we wanted to extend our sincere gratitude to her for being a huge part of our center for so long.

With that said, Dance Country has agreed to take over the Line Dancing instruction for us.  Our group will be led by Margaret Carroll, who led the class during Camille’s break last winter.
