We are painting our activity room wall purple in memory of our loved ones with Alzheimers. If you would like to hang a framed picture in memory of a love one, stop by or join us to paint!

Griswold Seniors on the Move will be walking at Ocean Beach Park to help raise awareness and funds for care, support and research to end Alzheimer’s Disease. If you would like to walk with us or purchase a Forget-Me-Not flower, Please call or stop in at the Senior Center.
Our walk will be on Saturday, September 15th.
On Thursday, September 13th we will be showing the movie “Still Alice” Dr. Alice Howland is a renowned linguistics professor at Columbia University. When Alice starts becoming lost on her daily jogs, Alice must come face-to-face with a devastating diagnosis: early-onset Alzheimer’s disease.

A remembrance to those who lost their lives this day in history. Hot dogs/Refreshments provided by the Senior Center begins at 6:30 pm. Service will follow at 7:00 pm

Alzheimer’s is a progressive disease that impairs memory and other mental functions. It is the most common form of dementia that generalizes memory loss and loss of other essential cognitive abilities that are serious enough to interfere with an individual’s daily life. One in 10 people age 65 and older has Alzheimer’s. Join us this month, as we will work to raise awareness on dementia. Every day after lunch we will show a short clip about Alzheimer’s. Some clips are emotional, some are funny and all of them are educational.
