The community gives to the Groton Senior Center; our Dining Out program is our way of giving back to the community.  Each month a Restaurant is Featured.  Ride the senior van or meet us there.  Order a full entrée or just appetizers.  An evening outing of dining, socializing and enjoyment!  Please join us Tuesdays for a “socially nutritional” evening.  Registration required: call 860-441-6785 to reserve your spot!  You can also register online at www.GrotonRec.com

The Mountain Between Us  (2017 rated PG13) When their plane crashes into the side of a mountain, two strangers forge a friendship based on necessity. If they want to survive while waiting for help, they will need to work together. However, it quickly become obvious that no help will be arriving anytime soon. In order to get back to the only world they know, they will need to make an incredible trek. Individuals wishing to participate in Groton Senior Center activities must meet the following criteria:

• Able to toilet themselves
• Able to feed themselves
• Be able to self-ambulate
• Be oriented to their current surroundings
• Behave in a non-aggressive and non-disruptive manner
• Maintain clean body and clothing
• Participate in activities or programs appropriate for them
• Have the desire to participate in programs or activities.

Persons not meeting the required criteria are welcome; however, they must be escorted by a knowledgeable caregiver.
