Thrive55+ Active Living Center (powered by Groton Senior Center) is the premiere location for nutrition, health and technology and recreational classes, special events and trips, transportation, information and referral services for Groton residents 55 years and older. Programs in health, computers/technology, finance, fitness, art, enrichment and more are offered year-round and there are special events constantly throughout the year. We are active, social and involved and welcome all not only Groton residents. You have to see us to believe us; stop by for a tour of our fun and friendly Thrive55+ Active Living Center (powered by Groton Senior Center) Visit Thrive55+ Active Living Center for a delicious breakfast, snack and/or lunch prepared daily by our chef in Coastal Cafe.

Cardio Sculpt

From 9:00-10:00am on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays

This program offers 15 to 20 minutes of aerobic work with a focus on specific exercises to strengthen and sculpt.
Fee: $64/ $74 non-resident

Gentle Chair Yoga (virtual)

Wednesdays from 8:30-9:30am and Saturdays from 9:00-10:00am

FEE: $32 resident / $42 non resident per session

Fitness Center

Open from 8:00am-6:30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays

Fee:  Resident- $72.00  (1st year $82)
Non-Resident- $82.00 (1st year $92)

GROTON BIKE EXPO on Thursday, June 9TH at 1:00-3:30 PM

Location: Back  Lot of THRIVE 55+
Various organizations will give demos/talks while we also have stations of several cycling organizations and businesses for you to individually visit. Topics to be covered: safe cycling, trends,  maintenance, clubs, health and best gadgets. Thrive 55+ is partnered with Groton Town Police and Mystic Cycle Centre on this event. Groton Town Police will talk about safety, Mystic Cycle Centre speak on bike maintenance and emergency fixes while on a ride and the benefits of side step, etc. Free and open to all those 55+

CLUB 55 STRAWBERRY FEST on Friday, June 17th at 11:30 AM-1:00 PM

The menu for the luncheon is oven fried pork chops, strawberry applesauce, wild rice pilaf, green beans and strawberries tossed in raspberry dressing, rolls, strawberries over biscuit, punch, coffee and tea.
** Fish alternative available in place of pork. At time of registration notify us of this request.
$15 Club 55 members/$ 20 Club 55 non-members.
Registration deadline is Tuesday, June 14th.

CLASSIC CAR SHOW on Saturday, June 11th from 10:00 to 2:00pm

All cars and trucks are welcome! Plus, no cut off dates.
Appreciation awards will be presented to best cars and or trucks.

Dining Out Program- Groton Townhouse on Tuesday, June 21 at 5:00 pm

The community gives to us; Dining Out is our way of giving back to the community. An evening outing of dining, socializing, and enjoyment! Each month one special restaurant will be featured. Our van will pick you up or you can meet us there. Each person pays their own tab at the restaurant. Order a full entrée or just appetizers.
