Thrive55+ Active Living Center (powered by Groton Senior Center) is the premiere location for nutrition, health and technology and recreational classes, special events and trips, transportation, information and referral services for Groton residents 55 years and older. Programs in health, computers/technology, finance, fitness, art, enrichment and more are offered year-round and there are special events constantly throughout the year. We are active, social and involved and welcome all not only Groton residents. Colorado Rockies featuring National Parks and Historic Trains – August 12-20th

For our travelers- this is a quick reminder about our upcoming seat reduction date – April 12, 2022- for the Colorado Rockies tour. The Colorado Rockies featuring National Parks and Historic Trains August 12 — August 20, 2022.  Any names entered in after April 12th could be subject to a first come first serve cancellation wait list. Air would also need to be requoted and the air inclusive early booking bonus expires as well.

We offer Tech Talk weekly 9:00 -10:00 am in our Technology Center here at THRIVE 55+.  We focus on a topic or a couple to discuss and answer questions.  Come on in! Be there for 9 am start. No registration necessary

This year our BAKERS BATTLE will be outdoors again Saturday, April 23  11:00 am to 1:00 pm

PROFESSIONAL & RECREATIONAL BAKERS competing to be declared the best! Do you love baked goods? Be a TASTER at our fundraiser!

Please join us for this delicious event as we sample delectable treats from Professional and Recreational bakers in a friendly competition to be named BEST.

Tasters $10 PP in advance OR $12 PP at the door All proceeds made will go towards Project Lifesaver.

Open to all ages. Register now! This community friendly fundraiser event takes place at 102 Newtown Road, Groton CT.

Day trip to Florence Griswold Museum

Please wont you come with us Thursday, March 24 -Florence Griswold Museum and Hideaway Restaurant?

Admission includes a one-hour professional staff tour  and access to exhibitions in the Krieble Gallery, the historic Florence Griswold House, and the rest of the Museum’s grounds and facilities. Included is the New London County Quilts and Bed Covers exhibit, 1750‒1825.

We shall lunch at the Hideaway Restaurant after our 2 hour visit to the museum. Lunch is on your own tab. We will travel there on one of our Thrive55+ buses. Max of 20 persons. Cost is $20 per resident.
