Wii Bowling

Every Tuesday from 12:15-1:15pm

Instead of wooden lanes and pins, seniors hit the virtual lanes using Nintendo’s Wii Game System. No heavy balls to lift and throw and no special bowling shoes. You pick up your wii-mote and simulate the throwing of a bowling ball. While holding the control in your hand, you target the electronic game’s screen in hopes of completing a strike or a spare.  The bowling noises generating from the game encourage participants to continue to play more and it adds to the excitement.
The Wii Bowling Class is designed to encourage everyone to get active and stay healthy, something the Nintendo Wii set out to do when it entered the US gaming market.

Lisbon Senior Center Shooting Starts Meeting Wednesday, June 8th at noon

About Shooting Stars… Shooting Stars has been an integral part of the Lisbon Senior Center since the 1980’s. It pays for all the entertainers, subsidizes our annual holiday meal, sponsors all trips, and has helped pay for upgrades to the senior center. It provides us with the extra “fun and items” for all of us.

Shooting Stars meetings run on the second Wednesday of every month at noon.

In order to keep Shooting Stars as a business entity with the State of Connecticut and a non-profit with the IRS, we must have a slate of officers. As of June 20, 2022 we have 2 positions with a nomination for each which must now be voted into office.

Please make every effort to attend the meeting on Wednesday, June 8th at noon
