Smith Acres Succulent Workshop

Come join one of Smith’s Acres “Veggie Girls” and create a cute succulent dish garden.. These easy to care for plants love to hang out on a sunny windowsill or table. We will have lots of different varieties of succulents to choose from.

All supplies included.

Sea Glass Starfish Window Hanger/Ornament Craft

Thursday, September 15th at 1:00pm

 

Come craft a wire wrapped starfish with Still Waters USA a local Westbrook small business. Supplies are included & participants will take home a completed starfish to keep for themselves or as a gifting option! No experience needed. Cost is $10 per person.

Cook Well With Diabetes Class

Mondays from 11:00am-1:00pm starting on September 12th

 

Cook Well, Eat Well is a FREE 4-week class providing hands-on, creative, fun activities, professional instruction, interesting experiences, a wonderful cookbook and delicious meals! This program is perfect for adults with diabetes and/or their partner/spouse/caregiver.

Lunch & Learn: Historical Society

Wednesday, September 21st at 12:30pm

 

From the Lee House to the Fire House, a talk by the Town Historian, Elizabeth Hall Kuchta. 108 years after saving the Thomas Lee House from demolition, the Historical Society and the Library will now turn the old Flanders Fire House into the East Lyme History Center, to house archives and exhibits. Come hear about the plans and share ideas of what you would like to see.

Cost is $2 per person. Registration begins September 1st. Register by September 16th

A Rockin Block Party

A regional event hosted by Groton Senior Center

Music provided by the Corvettes Doo Wop Revue
We will be having an outdoor dance party. Food trucks will be available or you can bring your own dinner. But bring your own chairs. This will be held at the Groton Senior Center– 102 Newtown Road. Carpooling is strongly suggested and there will be transportation available for an additional fee.
