In Case of Inclement Weather

Snow cancellations and early closings are on the following stations: Television – Channel 2 and WFSB Channel 3.  Closing of the center includes the Fitness Center and Coastal Café. If schools are delayed, the center will open at 8:30 and transportation will start at 9am.

If you are not sure, please call the center. The center will not reopen until the parking lot and sidewalks are plowed for your safety. CALL if you aren’t sure (860) 445-2989.          

McLews Breakfast Friday, Jan 7th

This Friday we have our first 2022 event- a social morning event- McLews Breakfast Friday, Jan 7th at 8:40 am. Let us gather again for breakfast!  Enjoy a hot breakfast while socializing with other great people.  Mmm, our menu this month is sausage and biscuits, scrambled eggs, pastry, fruit cup, OJ and coffee/tea. AARP TAX HELP Appointments

We have started taking appointments for 2021 tax season. Appointments will be on Tuesday and Thursday from 9am-3pm. For the month of February, they will take four appointments for 9am, 10am, 2pm and 3pm. They will only take three appointments for the 11am, 12pm and 1pm slots. In March and April, they will take three appointments for 9am, 10am, 2pm and 3pm. They will only take two appointments for the 11am, 12pm and 1pm time slots.  To schedule your appointment please call or stop by our front desk.

TENOR MARC DEATON SINGS A PROGRAM OF OPERA, LIEDER, AND BROADWAY SONG

Marc Deaton is a world-renowned operatic tenor, perhaps most well-known for his Wagnerian roles, performed with companies around the globe. He has currently settled in Madison CT, where, in addition to singing, acting, directing, teaching, and writing, he is Artistic Director of the Madison Lyric Stage, where in June he and Gerald Moshell will be collaborating on a production of Stephen Sondheim’s musical-theater masterpiece, “Sweeney Todd.”

TOM FULLER SINGS A PROGRAM OF BROADWAY AND CLASSICAL SONG

Tom Fuller, a recently retired lawyer from Washington DC, has sung many a lead in musicals and operetta, including seven productions conducted by Gerald Moshell. His program will include selections by Leonard Bernstein, Lerner & Loewe, and British classical composers.
