Preventing COVID-19

The Senior Center has re-opened to the public. As of August 13th, 2021, anyone entering a Town building must wear a mask regardless of your vaccination status. The mask must remain on while indoors. Thank you for cooperation.

WRITING CLASS- Thursdays at 2:00pm

With Cate Steel

Writing stimulates your imagination, thinking, and can heal your heart. This class will focus on your writing, not our editing. Praise will be offered for a well turned phrase or an image that was conjured up with a crafty use of words. At the end of each class, you will have a document that can be shared or saved.

Registration begins on Sep 1st. No fee. Starts Sept. 9th

HEARING CLINIC w/ AUDIOLOGY CONCIERGE

with Nancy Jablonski Thu, Sep 2nd from 10am to 12pm at the Senior Center.  45 Minute appointments start at 10am. Free hearing test, a hearing aid check, wax inspection, and listening demos. Register with the Senior Center.

MASSAGE THERAPY

Cathy Canto will resume service on Sep 8th and Sep 22nd from 1 to 4pm to provide massage therapy. You can reserve a 25 minute appointment for $27 or a 55 minute appointment for $54. Register with the Senior Center. Payment is due at time of reservation.

TVCCA LUNCHES ARE BACK

TVCCA lunches are available every Tue and Thu at 11:45am. Reservations must be made 48 hours in advance. The menu is on page 12.

Suggested donation is $2pp. Reservations are required.

ENTERTAINMENT ON LAWN: JEROME RILEY

The Platters were one of the most successful vocal groups of the early Rock N’ Roll era. In the 80s, Jerome Riley won a lead vocalist position with Herb Reed and the Platters. Now, Jerome keeps the music
of the Platters alive by performing all their classic songs. He will be here entertaining us here in Old
Lyme on Wednesday, September 29th at 1:00pm playing the original Platters hits as well as other hit
music from the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s. TICKETS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS FREE PERFORMANCE .

BETHANY HASLAM FROM THE DANCE STUDIO OF OLD LYME WILL BE TEACHING TWO
CLASSES HERE AT THE SENIOR CENTER. ALL THOSE INTERESTED IN TAKING HER CLASS
WILL NEED TO MAKE SURE THEIR MEMBERSHIP IS CURRENT. YOU CAN CALL US TO
CHECK . THE CLASSES WILL BE WEEKLY INSTEAD OF THE PREVIOUS 6 WEEK SESSION. IT
WILL BE LIMITED TO THOSE THAT REGISTER. ALSO DUE TO THE POPULARITY OF HER
CLASSES AND OUR SPACE CONSTRAINTS WE ARE ASKING YOU TO SIGN UP FOR ONE
CLASS ONLY.
