Housing Support Group

3rd Tuesday of every month from 10:00-11:00am

Noreen Zupnik, Housing Counselor from New London Homeless Hospitality Center – Housing Resource Center will be at Rose City Senior Center the 3rd Tuesday of every month to answer questions, listen to your concerns, and help with your complaints on your current housing situation.

The goal is to insure ongoing support to seniors currently in housing and dealing with landlords, management companies or housing authorities.  With limited housing inventory and prices soaring it has become critical that our senior population is experiencing Fairness, Security and Affordability.

Noreen will be here to listen, educate, and help seniors in understanding their tenant rights that will include the how-to of landlord communication including: complaints, lease explanations, letters to landlords and housing commissions to mention a few.

You will not be alone in working through your concerns…

So let’s take the fear away, go forward, and build strength through knowledge and partnership.

Bathroom Rennovations

Great news!  The men’s and women’s bathrooms are being renovated!  Both bathrooms will be renovated at the same time and work could take up to 4 weeks to complete.  During this time, the bathrooms will be inaccessible.  There will be handicap accessible portable bathrooms located outside and hand washing stations available.

Rose City Senior Center will still be operating as usual and all classes and activities will continue as scheduled.  We apologize for the inconvenience, but look forward to brand new bathrooms soon!

Tentative start date is mid-April but is subject to change.
