MANICURES – 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the Month

Time: 9:00am to 10:00am

Residents $60.00 for 30 classes– Non-residents $65.00 for 30 classes

Pass Class

Gentle Yoga is suitable for all ages and any experience level but is especially adaptable for the varied levels of fitness and flexibility of older adults. A simple chair can be used to help provide support allowing anyone to participate and gain the enjoyment of the exercise. You will learn breathing techniques, work on balance, and build strength. Modifications are always available. Please bring a mat, towel and water. Wear comfortable clothes.

Senior Fitness- Mondays & Wednesdays

Time: 10:00am to 11:00am

Residents $50.00 for 30 classes – Non-residents $55.00 for 30 classes

Pass Class

Senior Fitness is a low impact, moderate intensity class which provides a balanced workout to promote endurance of your heart and lungs, to strengthen your muscles and bones, to improve posture and balance, to increases flexibility, and to challenge your brain. To keep things fun and interesting, we move to music from all eras and genres. Dyna bands, weights, and other props are available for strengthening and stretching. Work at your own pace in a non-judgmental, relaxed atmosphere. Modify as you need. Please bring water and wear appropriate shoes and comfortable clothes.

NEW Pilates Class

Regina Citrin will be starting a Mat Pilates which focuses on your stomach,
hips, lower back and buttocks — the center of our body called our
“powerhouse” the movement of the Pilates method is good for your posture
and alignment. Drop in classes will be offered in March to try it out for $5.00
a class. In April we will begin monthly sessions. Bring your own mat

PVMS Luncheon and Volunteer Reading Program

We have scheduled the next few months of our luncheon program and the volunteer reading program.  Volunteer readers are asked to arrive at the school no later than 10:30 a.m.  If you are planning to join us for lunch, it’s served at 11:00.  The cost is $4.00 per person and registrations are necessary.  You can register at the Preston Senior Center or telephone the Senior Affairs Office at 860-887-5581 extension 6.

Congregate Café Program

The Congregate Café Program is conducted at the Preston Senior Center, 42 Long Society Road on Monday’s at 11:30 a.m. (except for holidays and/or inclement weather).  The program is designed for elders who are 60 years of age and older.  Registrations for the Monday meal must be called in before the previous Thursday.  There is a suggested donation of $3.00 per person. We ask that participants register for the Monday program in advance. Please call 860-887-5581 ext. 6 leaving your name, telephone number and date which you plan on attending the program.

All persons who are sixty years of age and older are welcome to attend, it doesn’t matter if you live in Preston, Lisbon, Ledyard, all are invited.  Persons who are under the age of sixty are charged a larger fee for participating in the program.

Montville Senior Club News- 2020 Annual Dues

The Montville Seniors Club is now collecting their 2020 Annual dues. The dues are $10.00 and help support and pay for supplies at the Center as well as Club necessities. Please see Board Member and Dues Chair Mary Adams for membership payment and let’s all look forward to a wonderful 2020 year!
