HAPPY 106TH BIRTHDAY TO MAMA BETTY!!

Elizabeth Mentillo aka Mama Betty, was born in Stamford, CT. Elizabeth married her soul mate in 1935. They were married nearly 70 years. Elizabeth wanted to become a nurse but life has many turns. She worked as a private nanny until she met and married William. When her own children got older, Elizabeth went to work at a local drug store. When the drug store closed their doors, she finally retired in her 70’s. At 93 she moved to Griswold to live with her daughter. Elizabeth joined the Senior Center on July 13, 2007. She is truly an inspiration to all who know her. Since that time, Mama has been a vital and active member of our Senior Center Family and we are blessed to have her!
