Annual Senior Art Show

July 15 – 18, 2019

Enter and showoff your artistic talent!

Artwork must be in by Thursday, July 11.   This art show is for those 55 and older only. Judging will be Tuesday, July 16.

Sculpture

All work should be created in the past year, June 2018 to June 2019. Artwork should be ready to hang with wire.

Please affix name, address, phone and category to art work. Rules included on registration form.

First place winners will be entered in the Regional Senior Art Show at the Senior Expo August 9 at Norwich Technical School from 9:30a.m.-12:30p.m.

COOKBOOK CLUB – Third Wednesday of the Month

Time: 1:00pm

Presented by the E.L. Senior Center and the E.L. Library
Cooking, eating, discussing, & sharing food brings us together!

*Bring a recipe from a cookbook or from the internet. Each month’s there is a different topic. Contact the senior center to find out the topic.  Bring the cookbook and copies of the recipe to share. Or we can make copies for you at the center. Bring a sample to taste. Must register!

Bocce Ball

Join us Thursdays (NEW DAY) at 10:30 am to play Bocce
Ball. You can also sign out our Bocce Balls to play at any
time when the Center is open. You can also sign out our
Horse Shoes to play at any time when the Center is open.

Please join us for our second BBQ of the Season! Always a great time! We will have a wonderful menu with delicious food, some great entertainment, and many friends to enjoy the afternoon with! Mediation Class- Wednesdays

Time: 1:00pm-2:00pm

Deep Breathing, Aromatherapy, Guided Mediation, and Mindfulness Discussions. There are many health benefits to Mediation: Detoxification of body, de-stressing, increased cardiovascular capacity, regulate weight, improved posture, help with anxiety, depression, heart disease, high blood pressure & more!
Classes are ongoing—you can join at any time, please let office know if you plan to so we may inform instructor.

“Evidence of a Lost Civilization in New England.”

Tuesday July 30th at 1:00pm as Archaeologist Geoffrey Pray Whittman presents “Evidence of a lost civilization in New England.” He will not only discuss what he has uncovered in the form of rock formations and stone walls, but will also show slides and statistical data to back up his findings.
