Songs of the Great War and Civil Rights

Time:  1:30 p.m.

Rose City Senior Center’s glee club, Golden Nuggets, will be singing their concert Songs of the Great War and Civil Rights for all to enjoy.  This wonderful choral group consists of very talented Senior Center members who will be singing a selection of themed songs.  The group will be accompanied by Rose City Senior Center’s concert band Roseland Combo.

This spring, the Golden Nuggets and Roseland Combo performed their concert at various local senior living and rehab centers.  We hope you will join us to enjoy some wonderful music!  This event is free.

Interested in learning Tai Chi?  This class is for you!  Tai Chi is a gentle form of exercise using graceful movements to connect the mind and body.  Sometimes described as “meditation in motion”, Tai Chi is used for stress reduction and to help with a variety of other health conditions. This class is for beginners with no experience or limited experience.  Start date of class TBD.

Minimum number of participants needed in order to start the class.

Please come and join us on August 28th at 1:00pm the Valley Shore Acappella, a chapter of Sweet Adelines International will be here to perform an upbeat acappella program with a variety of different music including oldies, barbershop music, etc.

WEDNESDAY EVENINGS 5:30—6:30 pm FREE Wear comfortable clothing and sneakers and have some fun!  Come and join us for our evening exercise program – ZUMBA GOLD Class– specifically designed for senior citizens.  Zumba Gold is the lower impact, easy-to follow, Latin-inspired dance fitness class that will help keep you healthy while having lots of fun!
