this Thanksgiving Holiday. Don’t miss out, let us
help you enjoy the holidays. Last day to sign up
is Wednesday, November 15th. Our Baskets will
be distributed on Saturday, November 18th from
9:00 – 12:00 a.m. Must sign up to receive a basket.

If you are a senior or disabled resident in the Town of Montville and will be spending the Holiday alone, please call and sign up for our Thanksgiving Hot Home-Cooked Dinner. Enjoy a wonderful Baked Turkey Dinner with all the
fixings! Dinners will be delivered on Wednesday, November 22nd. Please let us help you enjoy the Holiday and sign
up for a Hot Home-Cooked Meal! Last day to sign up for Dinner is Monday, Nov. 20th 860- 848-0422

We will be putting our Thanksgiving Baskets together the week of November 13th—November 17th. We will
start approximately 11:00 AM on Monday morning (after first delivery of canned goods). This is our
Senior’s annual Community Project and a tremendous help to our Montville individuals and families in
need. Come help sort the canned goods and package baskets up for our friends and neighbors in
need so all of our Montville families can enjoy a Thanksgiving meal!

Menu: Roasted Turkey, Kathie’s Savory Stuffing, Mashed
Potatoes, Cranberry Jelly, Dessert & More!

Join us on December 5th and 19th at 1:00pm as we have Visiting Nurses of the Lower Valley present The Conversation Project. This workshop will show you how to foster meaningful and effective conversations about end-of-life care. Research shows that 40 % of us will not be able to make healthcare decisions for ourselves at some point. We need to have the conversation about our values and wishes for care that benefits people of all ages: spouses/partners, parents, children, grandchildren, and close friends – anybody who might be involved in making decisions for you when you can’t speak for yourself. You may have experienced or heard about:

.The added stress when families don’t know what their loved one would want as they are dying.
·Conflict within a family if they disagree about what should be done or who should make decisions. ·Grieving which is more complex when people are left wondering if they did the right thing.               ·The feeling that health care professionals are doing too little or too much treatment because a family is not united or unclear.
