Pickleball is a paddle ball sport which combines elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis. It is a fun game that is played on a badminton-sized court with the net lowered to 34 inches. It is played with a plastic ball (similar to a wiffle ball) and a paddle. It is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced competitive game for experienced players. Mahjong is a Chinese game of skill, strategy and calculation using tiles with symbols and pictures. It is played similar to the card game Rummy in that you “draw” and “discard” tiles in an attempt to match them to win the game.

The Golden Nuggets is Rose City Senior Center’s glee club and they are looking for new members. Singers of any level of experience are welcome to join them. Now is a great time to join this talented group as they start back from their Summer break and start preparing for their Holiday Concert series!
If you are interested in joining the Golden Nuggets, you must join by September 26th. Anyone wishing to join after that date will be accepted on a case by case basis.
