This event is for those 55 and older and NOT just for Groton residents.

We are having our own SENIOR PROM on Saturday, April 23rd.
A fun filled night for YOU to get your smile and your dance on

This is NOT a formal event so do not stress about what to wear…
though if need be we do have some donated dress wear.
This event is for those 55 and older and NOT just for Groton residents.

$15 pp
5:30 pm DINNER: Baked Cornish Hen, Herbed Stuffing, Gravy, Creamed Spinach with Mushrooms, Roll, Lemon Meringue Pie, Coffee, Tea, Crystal Lite.

6:30 TO 7 pm BALLROOM DANCING DEMO
7:00 TO 9 pm As Time Goes By – Community Swing Band

Also, our “PARTY BUS” will be available to transport you to and from home.

Spring Fling Luncheon Tuesday April 19th

We are  honoring volunteers –  Free dessert – ice cream sundaes provided by Keep Me Home – ( offering Home health care, rehabilitation, visiting nurses and health aides.)  will be given out after Silvertones performance.

2016 Decisive Year in Presidential Politics.

2016 Decisive Year in Presidential Politics. This program will be held on May 10, 2016 at 1:00pm and will be led by Mark Albertson. He is an historical research editor at Army Aviation magazine and has authored three books: USS Connecticut: Constitution State Battleship, They’ll Have to Follow You! The Triumph of the Great White Fleet, and On History: A Treatise. He teaches World War II history at Norwalk Community College for Lifetime Learners. Please call (860)434-1605 ext 240 to register.

Hay is for Horses!!!

Hay is for Horses!!! On May 4th from 11:00- 11:45am we will have a horse here at the senior center!! Our neighbors from High Hopes will be here with one of their horses for us to pet & ask questions about. They will be located outside on our lawn. In addition there will be a sign up for those that wish to make a follow-up visit to High Hopes in the future.
