Tuesday, April 12th- INTRO TO ZENTANGLE

Come explore Zentangle® with us. It is a method of creating beautiful images from structured patterns. Anyone can create a Zentangle®. Even if you have never drawn a line, you can pick up the pen and make a beautiful piece the very first time. Our Teacher will show you the basic techniques and guide you through this meditative process.

Worried about identity theft and viruses? In this hands-on class you will learn about ways in which to protect your online reputation. Discover how to create secure passwords, spot an email scam, and what Google is saying about you.  On Monday, May 2, from 1-3 p.m., we will be holding a free 2 hour class open to all seniors.  Limited space available.  Call (860)434-1605 ext. 240 to register.  Laptops and class instructions are funded by a grant from the Lyme Old Lyme Education Foundation.

Nicky D Show

Nicky D Show will be held on May 4 th at 1:30pm.  This upbeat, lively show includes music from artists such as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, Nat King Cole, Elvis, 50’s Doo Wop, Tom Jones, etc.  He can also take audience requests.  You will not want to miss this toe tapping event.  This Event is sponsored by the Senior Club and costs $1.00 at the door. All welcome to attend.

Movie Day: The Martian

The Martian with Matt Damon will be shown in closed caption on April 29th at 12:45pm. When astronauts blast off from the planet Mars, they leave behind Mark Watney (Matt Damon), presumed dead after a fierce storm. With only a meager amount of supplies, the stranded visitor must utilize his wits and spirit to find a way to survive on the hostile planet. Meanwhile, back on Earth, members of NASA and a team of international scientists work tirelessly to bring him home, while his crew mates hatch their own plan for a daring rescue mission. Admission is free.

The GLENN HANSEN ORCHESTRA

Welcome one – come all for the Big Band Sound of The Glenn Hansen Orchestra on Friday, April 8th from 7pm to 10pm. This 15+ member band will rock the house. Session Class – Begins on April 7th – 12 classes

PiYo Strength is a fun, work at your own level class, joining Pilates and Yoga into one workout. Participants will tone muscles, work on balance and get a great stretch. This class will build strength and flexibility. You will exercise your body, mind and spirit. Please bring water and a mat. Wear comfortable clothing and appropriate shoes.
