Book for Sale- White Gloves by Karen Warfield
Set in Norwich, CT in the 1860’s, White Gloves is an historical fiction novel with themes of mystery, intrigue, deception, and redemption. Follow the story of Edwina Wojneck, a poor girl living with her family who always felt there was more to life than washing clothes and being belittled by her Mummy.
After her glamorous Aunt Vi gives her a taste of the finer things in life, Edwina is whisked off to a new “station” – being a maid in Rochurst Manor. While there Edwina learns of the strange and disturbing past of Master Rochurst, and the tragic present circumstances of the ladies of the house!

Elderly/Disabled (Circuit Breaker) Property Tax Credit Program 2022
Property Tax Credit (Circuit Breaker) Program is available to all CT real property owners who are age 65 or older or totally disabled. Annual income cannot exceed $38,100 for an individual or $46,400 for a couple in 2021. Discounts are based on a graduated income scale and are calculated by your town’s Tax Assessors Office. Discount is applied directly to the applicant’s real property tax bill.

Applications are accepted between February 1 and May 15, 2022.

TVCCA Assistance Program 2021-2022
Eligibility is based on income, family size, assets, and expenses.
Energy Assistance ~ Provides assistance towards a homes primary source of heat – oil, natural gas, electricity, propane, kerosene, coal, wood or wood pellets.
Water Assistance ~ This is a one-time water assistance benefit to help with restoration of household water services to disconnected homes; reduction of overdue water bills; and prevention of service disconnection. Help is available for both household water and wastewater bills.
