Trip: Faneuil Hall Marketplace and Beyond King Tut Exhibition

Boston, MA

Wednesday, August 31st

Our first stop will be Faneuil Hall Marketplace where you will have time on your own to shop and have lunch.  One of Boston’s most well known historic sites, Faneuil Hall Marketplace was constructed in 1742 and has served as a marketplace and meeting hall since it first opened its doors.

Today, Faneuil Hall Marketplace is actually four great historic places in one location – Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, North Market and South Market.  Offering plenty of history, great stores, artisan pushcarts, restaurants, food stands, street performers and entertainment!

Next, a short bus ride brings us to the Beyond King Tut: The Immersive Experience exhibition located at the SoWa Power Station.  Through nine distinct galleries, Beyond King Tut unlocks the 3,300 year old story of King Tut in a new and exciting cinematic way!

Produced in partnership with the National Geographic Society, Beyond King Tut takes visitors on an immersive cinematic journey to Egypt to witness ancient wonders of the world, like the Temple at Karnak and the Great Sphinx, all in stunning high-resolution detail.

Audiences then gaze upon a brilliant Egyptian sunrise over the Pyramids of Giza, before traveling back in time 3,300 years to the 18th dynasty and the age of the Golden Pharaohs when King Tut ruled.  There, meet Ancient Egyptian gods like Ra and Anubis, while descending into King Tut’s burial chamber and joining him on his quest for immortality.  An event that makes ancient history come to life!

COST: $65 per person – Includes charter bus transportation and Beyond King Tut admission fee.

July Day Trip: Murder at the Howard Johnson’s Play

Murder at the Howard Johnson’s

Newport Playhouse & Cabaret Theater, Newport, RI

Thursday, July 28th

Join us for a fabulous day at the newly renovated and reopened Newport Playhouse!

Start with a delicious, all you can eat, buffet lunch featuring a large selection with all foods prepared onsite. Following lunch, enjoy the hilarious performance of Murder at the Howard Johnson’s.  Following the show, return to your seat in the dining room for drinks and a fun-filled Cabaret Show!

Is all fair in love? Even murder?  That’s the question posed by this light and funny suspense comedy about a love triangle in a Howard Johnson Motor Inn.  The play involves a woman, her lover, and her husband.  First, the wife and her lover plot to murder the husband.  But then, the wife and her husband plot to murder the lover.  When that doesn’t work, the husband and the lover plot to murder the wife… but this attempt, like the others, fails in a hilarious way!

Face Masks are required to be worn in Newport Playhouse unless actively eating or drinking.

COST: $88 per person includes charter bus transportation, fabulous buffet lunch, matinee performance of “Murder at the Howard Johnson’s”, and cabaret show.  Driver tip is not included.
