Wednesday, November 17th at 7:00am- Day trip to Van Gogh the Immersive Exhibit in Boston

The experience is rich in content and suitable for a wide audience. In addition to a spacious central area where Van Gogh’s works stretch floor-to-ceiling, the experience includes separate galleries that chronicle his life, technique, and influence thru informative panels, larger than life re-creations and engaging interactives.

Time at Quincy Markey for shopping and grabbing a bite to eat at one of the many eateries.

Update for Day Trips for 2021

Senior Center Fun Trips use a bus from the Center for transport to and from destination. # of seats very limited. Registration begins the 1st business day of the month starting at 8am. Call the office to register and then make your payment by 4pm on the 2nd business day.

You can only register yourself for a trip.   Senior Center Fun Trips are limited to one a month.

Open to Non-Residents if there is availability Non-residents will be charged a $1.00 surcharge.

 

Wed, Oct 13th & Oct 27th – We are heading to Clyde’s Cider Mill and lunch at Jealous Monk in Mystic with free time in Mystic Village.  Departure time is 11:00am and expected return is 3:30pm. Trip fee is $5pp (transportation only). Registration begins Oct 1st.

 

Thu, Dec 9th  –  Come see the hilarious Christmas Comic Farce “A Christmas for Carol” at the Newport Playhouse & Cabaret Restaurant. A staff-served buffet with a variety of hot entrees, salads, veggies, dessert, fruit and beverages is included. Trip fee is $110. Minimal walking. Bus capacity is limited. Registration has begun. Wait List only at this time.

October Mini Trip to Olde Mistick Village- Tuesday, October 19th Leaving at 9:45am

Sign up at Reception (by phone or in person) starting on October 6th

Enjoy time on your own to explore the shops and have lunch at Olde Mistick Village.  Olde Mistick Village is a unique collection of outdoor shops that has become a favorite for local residents as well as for Mystic’s many visitors searching for that “perfect something”.  For lunch, enjoy a delicious meal at one of the many restaurants including Go Fish, Mango’s Wood Fired Pizza, Pink Basil, Jealous Monk or Bleu Squid.  Lunch is on your own.

Cost: $2 for transportation (Senior Center bus).  Lunch is on your own.

Bus leaves the Senior Center at 9:45 a.m. and returns approx. 2:45 p.m.

Per the TSA & State of CT, masks are mandatory to be worn on the bus.
